I found Tricia by Googling "trainers in Rochester, NY." I was looking for someone to come into my home since I already had all my own equipment and "whip me into shape." Contacting Tricia was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. In just 3 short months - I've lost over 20 pounds and 2 dress sizes. I've done Jenny Craig and it doesn't compare. Jenny Craig was about nutrition but did not help with an exercise program.
For me, I need both nutrition and exercise to be healthy. Tricia does it all and that is what most people need. She has done more for me in 3 months than what it took Jenny Craig to do in 6 months. While I am not down to my Jenny Craig weight, I am down to my Jenny Craig size and I feel much more fit/toned and energetic. I've learned that weight is just a number and that I can get to the size and not be the weight I think I need to be. You get what you pay for and she is worth every penny!

I found Tricia while searching on the web (the pink grabbed me, and her personality that came through on the page), after realizing it was time to lose weight and gain some strength back. You see, I have MS, and have been lucky enough to be in remission for 12 years. I now struggle as if I were newly diagnosed. I arrived with Tricia, using a cane, and with horrible balance problems. She understood my goals, was SO encouraging and worked at my pace, but pushing me ever so slightly to gain what I had lost. I had wrist injuries, we worked through that; I had balance problems and we worked through that; I certainly had stamina problems and again, we worked through it "no problem, don't worry" Tricia said many times. She understood what I needed and focused me on keeping an "eye on the prize." Now, no cane, walking a quick mile in 20 minutes before I start the other stuff. And, have I gained some of the stamina lost!
The pink room is a sanctuary, and I know it is business when walk down to the gym. But chatter and laughter is our way of getting through the time, and before I know it, my time is up. The "pink palace" is so convenient, and I don't need all the equipment in my house. She even bought a padded mat after I complained about the thin one! I wanted to see quick results, and although I was successful with other programs, her exercise and nutritional consultation has made me realize that I can eat many things, but balanced with exercise and portion control I will be successful. When I was feeling down about my situation, she offered me a smile, yet still pressed on in her compassionate and caring way. She "balanced out the hour" and tailored it to my needs. Boring was never in the mix.
Tricia adds great value to my self esteem and life in general. She will do the same for anyone who is willing to give it a shot. I describe her to my family and friends as a "shot of energy" and "freshness", always glass half full, but realistic. During this difficult time; we all need that in our lives. Lets face it - things are tough. Give up the additional cell line, picking up dinner at Wegmans, the popcorn at the movie or playing 9 holes and go to Tricia. She will change your life.

I had been in the market for a personal trainer for about a year. As I am blind, I was looking for someone who could come to my home to give me one-on-one instructions for strength training. When I found Tricia's website and discovered that she worked exclusively with women, that resonated with me right away.
I have been working with Tricia since February of this year, and with her help and my commitment, I have made a lot of progress. I immediately felt comfortable with her. Her knowledge and expertise are obvious, and she was able to describe the exercises and then show them to me in a way that I could understand them and do them correctly. She has a wonderful sense of balance, i.e., she gives me the amount of exercise to challenge me, but yet not so much as to be discouraging.
Her training is very individually tailored, and she is very open to questions and feedback, and is very good at adapting to whatever equipment an individual has, or to whatever level they are at. For instance. I had wanted to do squats because I had heard they were a very beneficial exercise, but I always hated doing them because I felt so unbalanced. She suggested the wall squat, and that has worked perfectly for me.
Because of working regularly with her, I am even more motivated to work out on a continuing basis, and the fact that I feel stronger and have also received several comments on how great I look has reinforced the benefits and motivated me even further.
I would definitely recommend Tricia to others, as working with her is both instructive and fun. She makes sure that my form is correct, but does it in a laid-back, noncritical way. I feel that with all the gains I have made in my strength, endurance and flexibility, the money I have spent has been well worth every penny.

I've been working out with Tricia for approximately three months. I'd been procrastinating (forever!) on starting a fitness program, and then I read about Tricia in a newspaper article about fitness. I knew immediately that I wanted to work out with her, because I much preferred having a woman as a fitness instructor, and I liked the idea of working out in her home as opposed to a gym.
Tricia has shown me that you don't need a lot of fancy gym equipment to work out. The only equipment that I have in my home is a treadmill and some free weights. We've devised a program for me using that equipment, and then supplementing with a personalized fitness routine. If I tell her that something hurts or makes me feel uncomfortable, she comes up with an alternative exercise that targets the same muscle groups. She also makes sure that I'm using the proper form when going through my routine. Seeing Tricia once a week helps me to stay focused and motivated, and she's taught me to make appointments with myself for my own workout sessions.
I'd definitely recommend Tricia to women like me who need one-on-one attention and instruction, and who are uncomfortable in a gym setting. I see Tricia once a week, and I try to make time three other days a week to work out on my own. It's just a start, but having been sedentary for too many years, I feel very empowered and good about myself. I can tell that my muscles are getting stronger and my endurance has improved. And after a workout, I feel great, both physically and mentally.
