OK, so not everyone is interested in being outside in the COLD, Winter weather.  Here are a few ideas for some WARM inside ACTIVE ideas for you and your family to enjoy!

The Perinton Rec center offers play in the gym for ages 1-5 with climbing apparatus, tunnels, mats, scooters, a ball crawl, among many other things. The entire gym is filled with lots to do and happy kids. Strollers are welcome but need to be left on the edge of the gym. Residents are $2.75 and non-residents are $4.00. The gym runs Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday when school is in session. Closed most school holidays.

The Victors Gym has open gym every Friday night from 6:30 to 8:00. From 3 to 103 years old can play. Cost is $10 per child if non member, member $8.

Penfield Community Center has a “Little People’s Gym” open gym time that is FREE for Penfield residents only.  Please call 585-340-8655.

All indoors and open daily. Ropes course, ball pit, slides, moon-bounce – all the things kids love to play with.

YMCA of Greater Rochester
Membership is required.  Workout, Swim, play basketball, play volleyball, play with your kids, or go Rock Climbing.

ROCK CLIMBING
Red Barn Climbing Gym

Primarily a bouldering gym, Red Barn Climbing serves the RIT and greater Rochester community. Built in a 100 year old structure with limited heat and no facilities. Expect to climb in temperatures similar to what you find outside at the time of your visit.

Over 18,000 square feet of climbing wall area, 2 bouldering caves, high ropes course with a 42′ lead climbing wall.

Of all the things you mentioned you didn’t list the Sandbox in Fairport. It has bouncy houses plus other fun things to keep the kids active and stimulated.
