There is not one perfect plan for everyone!
I have been saying this forever! Here is a video clip from the Today Show to explain some more:

Notes:
Structured Eater - This person likes orderliness, thinks in black and white with little gray area, detail oriented, and likes lots of rules.
Diets that will fall in this category are ones with food lists, Atkins, south beach, The Zone.

Flexible Eater - this person likes lots of choice, not to feel deprived. They are laid back, and need wiggle room, they will weigh pros and cons.
Diets that will fall in this category are Weight Watchers and Volumetrics.

Organizational Eater - This person likes packaged and planned.  Pre-planned and organized (daily, weekly, monthly) will work best, no brainer, may cost more.
Diets that will fall in this category are HMR, and Jenny Craig.

Social Eater - This person is an emotional eater, needs comfort food. It is less about the food, and more about connecting with other people. They struggle with stress and use food for comfort. They need inspiration and share their story.
The best plan for this person is to join a support group, use food diary.

What is your food personality? I think I am a Flexible Organizational Social eater.  What a combo!
