Happy President’s Day! This week my kids and most if not all, kids in Rochester, NY are off from school for February Break. Since the kids are not in school this week and not getting their normal brain and physical
activity, I have to work a bit harder to make sure that happens at home. This week we will be headed out to swim at the YMCA as well as try out at least one of Rochester’s new “jump places,” but today we did an at home workout.
This morning after training one of my clients, Mason and Anna joined me in the studio for a family workout.
I purchased Denise Austin’s Fit Kids DVD from Mason’s Scholastic book order last month so I thought we would give it a try. This DVD offers both a Fit Kids workout as well as a Fit Family workout. We decided to do the Fit Family workout. It was awesome! All the moves
were easy enough for a child but could be challenging enough for an adult. Some exercises were done on your own and some we done with a partner. Some of the exercises we did include: pretend jump rope, jumping jacks, lunges, burpees, mountain climbers, and push ups.
This was a great way to mix things up and get some of the wiggles out!
